The Swan Valley Community Foundation has a history of providing services for all community members. This started with providing meals to any who wanted them during the Fourth of July, providing all valley residents with day use passes to Holland Lake, funding an aging resource specialist for seniors in the Swan Valley, and providing small grants to community organizations. It continued with our first annual community celebration last year at the Hungry Bear that was open to Swan Valley Residents. We provided seven organizations with $9,100 in grants and 100 community members with a fine meal, music and celebration of the Swan Valley. While we did not ask for or require a donation for providing access to these things, donations are very welcome. And the generosity of those who donate helps provide access to those who perhaps do not have the resources.
The Swan Valley Community Foundation relies solely on donations and gifts. This started with our very first board, who generously contributed not only time and energy but also money to get the foundation started. Our board and volunteers continue that tradition, but we need your help to continue supporting our projects, community celebration, scholarships, annual grants and awards. This year we need to raise tax deductible funds to continue the following programs
YOER $2,000
Scholarships $3,000
Community Grants $9,000
Community Celebration $5,000
Community Service Awards $1,000
Senior Directory Publication $1,000
If you contribute, we can continue to enhance our community and celebrate our culture, our landscape and our way of life. If you appreciate the quality of life in the Swan Valley, and want to help sustain the community, please consider a donation to the Swan Valley Community Foundation. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
You can also help by contributing time as volunteer, or even volunteering to serve on the Swan Valley Foundation Board.
